Fatigue Reliability Analysis of Submarine Pipelines Using the Bayesian Approach

A fracture mechanics-based fatigue reliability analysis of a submarine pipeline is investigated using the Bayesian approach. The proposed framework enables estimation level pipelines based on limited experimental data. updating method and Markov Chain Monte Carlo simulation are used to estimate posterior distribution parameters model regarding different sources uncertainties. Failure load cycle reliability-based performance assessment API 5L X56 as case study estimated for three cases. In addition, impact parameters, including stress ratio, maximum load, uncertainties range initial crack size, corrosion-enhanced factor, also correlation between material has been indicated through sensitivity study. applied approach in this may be uncertainty modelling types maintenance periodic inspection planning.
